Last month I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Kate and Robert - what made this even more special is that Rob is my cousin so I knew exactly what to expect.
Kate and Robert met five years ago and Rob popped the question "in typical Rob fashion with a haribo ring"
Kate and Rob were married at St Marys, Marshfield and had their reception at Peterstone Lakes Golf Course.
The morning began with me meeting up with Kate at her parents home in St Brides near Cardiff, and it was immediately obvious that this was going to be a lovely relaxed day. I spend the morning photographing all the details, and took the opportunity to photograph Kate and her dad at their beautiful just before they left for the church.
After the ceremony at St Marys we then headed off to Peterstone Lakes and I had my first ride in a golf buggy as we took the short trip down to one of the tees that is along side the lake for some photographs of the couple - one thing that is definite is that Kate and Rob are made for each other and it was so lovely to see my cousin and his new bride just relaxing and enjoying their day.
When I asked Kate for her biggest memory from the day she said it was the moment when she was "walking down the aisle seeing Rob smiling back and also all our friends and family cheering when the vicar said you may now kiss the bride."
Kate and Rob have just come back from honeymoon in St Lucia.
Thank you so much for asking me to be part of your special day in such an important way Kate and Rob xxx
